OOS: Marshawn Lloyd

BUT....

2.2 Eligibility, Residence

2.2.1 With the exception of boarding school students, a student must be living with their custodial parent(s), legal guardian(s), or Relative Caregiver in the attendance zone of the school which the student attends, or be a student 18 years of age or older and living in the attendance zone of the school which the student attends
So does that supersede the rule about only being able to transfer once (and be eligible to play) before your junior year?

Yes if you move to a different school zone you can transfer anywhere you want with no penalty. In ML's case that doesn't matter he would not be transferring from a DIAA school as well as would be transferring from out of state so the rule wouldn't apply to him anyway

fyi...

If, as a result of the change of residence, the student could now enroll in a different public school, the student may make a one-time election and select any school including a private school. A change in residence has occurred when all occupancy of the previous residence has ended and a new legal residence has been established. Maintaining dual residency for purposes of athletic eligibility shall render the student ineligible.

They would still play his son over him rumor has it from coaches at Middletown that he ultimately left there because his son wasn’t getting carries over scrappy
I thought the kid who played when Scrappy was out was the next guy up anyway, and that's not the Anderson kid, right?

Anderson transferred to RLCA after his freshman year. He was never on varsity at MT he was on the freshman team

Gonzaga and DM were knocked out in the second round of playoffs. Both teams were 7-0 when they lost.

Do you known who got the most QB play for DM? Was Marshawn Lloyd there? Thanks-appreciated.

From what hear, Lloyd is going back home to delaware for his senior year. If true that’s a huge loss for DM

Has that been confirmed? That is why I am asking if he played at Penn State?

Got to see some of the local DC/Balt area teams (DeMatha, Gonzaga, Pallotti, Calvert Hall, Oxon Hill, Carroll, etc.) play yesterday. Biggest surprise was at the end of pool play, Oxon Hill was #1, DM #2, and Gonzaga #3 out of 50+ teams. Oxon Hill and DM lost in the third round (each had byes in the first round) and GZ lost in the 4th round to Calvert Hall.

As far as DM, they only had one team and continued to split playing time between the rising junior and senior (QBs switched every game) but the rising junior has gotten the start the last two tournaments (PG County/Penn State). Junior's only loss in the last three tournaments was at UMD in the semis against the NJ team that won it all. As far as Lloyd, he was not at the Penn State tournament and apparently this was their last tournament of the season. Hope this helps!

hmmmmm

Lloyd is playing with the northeast 7on7 with some of the Middletown boys down at IMG.

Still doesn’t mean anything in my eyes.

It was for the NFA 7v7 national championship. I saw Deion and Cam Newton had teams in it, but not sure who they played.

I assume they were the team listed from Pitman, NJ ?

NFA7v7 Mid-Atlantic Regional - Richmond, VA
  • Champions: NLG 3 (Pitman, NJ)
  • Runner-Up: 480 Elite (Montgomery Village, MD)
  • 3rd Place: Metro Virginia Black (Woodbridge, VA)
  • 4th Place: Hype Hunchos Diablo (Virginia Beach, VA)

I just thought of something.. I don't know his birthday but its possible he would make this move because of DIAA age cutoff. WCAC can't turn 19 before Aug 31st. Delaware its June 15th so if he turns 19 between June 15 and Aug 31 he would not be eligible to play at DeMatha but would be here.

Again just pure speculation as to why he might make the move not knowing his bday
