If you want a chance to beat Smyrna you’re going to have contain their guards. Matthews and Bloodsworth did whatever they wanted tonight.
No Garnett.. Poor coaching by Cape... Miss Barnes real bad... Smh
Cape has the same problem every year. Talent wins them games alone, coaching there is awful. Barnes will definitely be missed it showed tonight.

Sussex Tech beat Dover last night and CR beat SC, hopefully last night was just the first game jitters for Dover,agreed Barnes leaving hurt Cape more than we expected or is Smyrna really that good with Garnett in street clothes . Anybody know why Garnett didn’t play ?

Lol, I didn’t get out of work until 8:30 last night smh I got the score from my 15 yr old daughter lmao she’s sketchy with her scores, she said the final score was 48-43 lmao, I checked the ridersports website and quickly changed my words
Don’t know about Cape but Dover is a different story. Tons of athletes walking the halls, probably have more than a couple of kids walking the hallways that can flat out ball. Grades in some cases and kids that just don’t want to be told what to do, some would prefer to live the so called gangster roll or just feel they are way to smooth to play high school sports. Some kids feel the system is rigged and coaches have their favorites. Some of the kids have already dropped out, sad but true. It’s ironic but one of the admins at Dover is a good friend, we just talked about this 2-3 weeks ago when asked about this years team. Good news is that they have a solid young core of players that will only get bette, Doversenator probably has a lot more input, would like hear what he has to say, he has very good insight and very good posts
I like Wilson as a person. Does a lot for the kids outside of basketball. He’s had unbelievable talent since he’s been there. You know he’s had Corey Crawford talent he’s had Jordan Allen talent and he just can’t win. You know I thought when they had that home playoff game against St. Thomas More a couple years ago they would win that game.. His coaching put those kids out of the game. Again, he has a lot of young talent there now I just don’t see them winning anything till he’s gone.
Dover has always had talent. Coach doesn't get best out of them at all. Definitely should have beat St. Thomas More. Next to Polytech, Dover has had top notch talent. Good guy just cant seem to get it done.
Cape coach isn't bad to me. Seems like he has trouble adjusting to athletes. He would be better suited at a school with less athletes who are dependent on a system. He forces his system on players who prefer to trap, press and run. He can coach but he is Chip Kelly. He believes in his system above all. He hasn't had the talent of a Dover or Polytech but he could get more from players if he wasn't so system driven. Sometimes a coach has to get out of the way.

Hoopsdownstate they are young guards at Cape (10 graders). They need some time to develop. Last night was first varsity action for them. I wouldn't say they are horrible. They just had a bad outing.
Dover has the best young guards in conference. Davis and Allen are studs. Allen gets to that lane and finishes with best of them at the rack. Very tough player.

What time, when and where is DMA's next basketball game? I thought all schools started on Friday 12/1 and Saturday 12/2.
Haven't seen a box score. Curious as to who may have lit it up. I'll ask my kid who still keeps in touch with DRobinson.
