St. Georges

Anyone remember Dyson from Sanford, the big boy from the 98 championship brandywine team, the kids from Caravel when they were good, all those players could barely walk over the lines on the floor without tripping, by sr year all were dominant[/QUOTE]

They got killed on the boards as a team, poor box outs, bad transitional D with finding & stopping ball, on offense they could not counter mp tough perimeter d on Rawls and the freshman. No offensive flo or options when those 2 were defended hard.

St G's big man Played well in the 1st Q. Then they stopped feeding him. It was A lot of standing around watching Rawls try to make a play on offense not a lot of movement. I thought St Georges should have been came out of that zone defense. Then the intentional fouling down 20pts with 4 min to go... I don't know St Georges coach personally I heard he was a good guy and coach but St G's didn't looked well coached today

Junkie here you go again with your harsh personal criticism of Delaware youth. You always seem to have such condescending remarks then you try an come off as your the gate keeper of De athletes. Which one is it? At 5'2" your post should be a little more encouraging. You try to be dominant on this board maybe you should have laced them up for the first time in your life!!! St G keep your heads up. Congrats to a machine that has been running for the last 2 years in Delaware. Mount Basketball

Im not always one to defend junkie but there was nothing wrong about what he said. That was a solid evaluation of the game, wouldn't be surprised if their coach said the same thing word for word.

"St Georges keep your heads up congrats to a machine that has been running for the last 2 years in Delaware" You tried to come of righteous but you only wanted to give props to your team. I just say what I'm thinking based on the game I watched, I have no horses in the race, I like both teams. If u had just said your comment to harsh, I would agree & remove comment, but u had to rub it in our face. Then u get emotional like some off my other critics and try and hurl school yard insults. Never knew I had such power to make grown men emotional on a blog. I think both teams are great programs and will do well in the state tournament. Expected a more competitive game from St. Georges but they finished the regular season on a high note despite losing a key player. With that I will remove the portion of my comment that may come of as negative towards a kid, he is a good kid. But get outta here with the indirect jabs at other delaware programs.

You responded check mate. Your evaluation has been some what on point but at times personal. I don't have a personal interest either just the love of these hard working kids and the game.Unless there are 2 players on St G that are 6'9 as you stated I digress.Just remember players have family and feelings to.Each One Teach One.Im sure you don't have a horse in the race until that horse wins.Oh and the only reason I said what I said was to give you a taste of negative and see how you would like it.Oh and that key player you referenced earlier you said don't mention him so why would you.Breath swallow. Not emotional at all I see bullies everyday

Lol, That's your taste of negative. Look if u were picked on as a kid that's unfortunate. Not a fan of bullies either. But the junkie did not stuff u in that locker it was the other guy. U so far from the truth I didn't really bother correcting the attempted insult. What's your beef with 5'2" dudes? I know a few, good friends. Some have struggled with it throughout life. So what if a short kid read that comment, lets say a kid maybe not 5' 2 but 5'7 and has issues with height, is that not hurtful to short people. I see many short parents and players. Not nice. U cannot claim higher ground once u dropped to that level. But being bullied is a serious thing, did not mean to stir up pass emotions, but it's funny that u think referencing height would be offensive unless u think the measure of men is based on something like that. Sad.

Underdog "Unless there are 2 players on St G that are 6'9 as you stated I digress."

Didnt see anyone say anything negative about the 6'9 kid , just wish he was more involved, Delaware basketball is so guard oriented. Would be nice to see him get a chance.

Junkie my reference was to you read my post. Not someone else or a child you.G Town his earlier post was edited that was the sole reason for my response point blank period. Junkie you bring a service to this board I mean you no harm but maybe you can see how this affected you and by your response. So now just remember the kids going foward.IM DONE

Why do we all ways refer to the as kids? There young men! One problem is that we bady to much in the state. I understand a middle schooler or even a underclassmen but some of these guys are 3-4 months away from the real world.

SportsJunkie, keep telling the truth I think your accessments are fair and accurate and don't let fools try to make you sugercoat everything.

good call Simmon.. I actually hear parents refer to their grown 18 yr old high schoolers as 'babies" I kid you not... coddle much? lol but its just not DE though Maryland is the same way... Texas not so much...

Kent, the 6'9" center, averaged 2 points a game this season. His job was to defend and rebound. He has never truly been involved in the offense.
