Team Delaware traveled to Indianapolis last week to represent the First State in the Schoolboy National Duals.
Team Delaware went 5-4 in Freestyle and placed 4th in our pool(Green), narrowly missing out on 3rd in our pool with a 35-31 loss to North Carolina. We went 1-5 as a team in Greco and placed 7th in our pool(B).
It is important to note that there were 17 weight classes and we were only able to compete in 10 due to the limited amount of wrestlers we took.
Will Carl was 5-0 in Greco and Jackson Dean 7-0 in Freestyle which earned both an All-American status in the respective styles.
Great job by coaches Gregory Dean, Jeremy Carl and Ian Bell. The results are a big improvement over last year where we only won 1 team dual in each style.
