Been awhile since I’ve last posted. Had to sort some legal matters with my (soon to be ex) wife. I digress. Regardless, I’ve been keeping an eye on the games. I’ve compiled my list for the top 10 teams going into the playoffs. See below

1. Salesianum
2. Archmere
3A. Cape
3B. Milford
4. Friends
5. Sanford
6. Tatnall
7. St. Marks
8. Tower Hill
9. Ceasar Rodney

I could do a deep dive into the list, and I will.
Salesianum - I was at Trolley having a couple beers after work, and struck up a conversation about the local lacrosse games. The gentleman I was conversing with was actually the Canadian transfer at Salesianum. He ended up buying me a beer before having to go home to his “wife and kids.” He was a good guy, but does anybody actually know how old he is? Regardless, he’s really good, and that’s all that really matters. Salesianum is your #1 team in the state, for better or worse.

Archmere - After dismantling Cape, Archmere seems to be the clear cut #2 in the state. A solid defense seems to be their strength, aided by a competent offense. Archmere should make a deep run in the playoffs.

Cape - This isn’t your older cousin’s Cape team...

Milford - While their schedule may not reflect it, this is a gritty, blue-collared team. Milford consistently racks up impressive wins against solid competition. After struggling for a few years following the departure of 3rd Team All-Conference midfielder, Landon Heijeck, this team has clawed itself back into relevancy. Going to be an exciting Henlopen Championship game.

Friends - An exciting team that’s feisty. The offense seems to be unstoppable at moments but struggles for the most part. If they can find some consistency, watch out.

Sanford - Solid team that desperately misses talent of the past.

Tatnall - Looking at Tatnall’s season so far will confuse just about anybody. Convincing wins against quality opponents followed by embarrassing losses. This team has potential, but that’s not always enough.

St. Marks - St. Marks is finding its footing in a cloudy Delaware lacrosse scene full of mediocrity. Can this team rise out the quicksand? I think these playoffs will be pivotal in answering that question. Keep an eye out for St. Marks.

Tower Hill - A once dominant team that’s been stagnant. A few quality players surrounded by their sub-par counterparts.

Ceasar Rodney - They can catch and throw which immediately propels them into the top-10 past 65% of all Delaware lacrosse teams.

Feel free to drop your opinions. If you have any qualms please let me know. Cheers

Salesianum can keep their Canadian, don’t need any of that Trudeau bullcrap!!!

This Archmere team is special. Antsy to fill some shoes and I guess it will be Cape’s. Made quick work of the lifeguards. Rough first go around against the Sals however we remain poised for a championship bout.

Can't argue with your rankings in the quest for the Walnut Plaque although I think Cape will be there in the end. They were on a bit of a roll before a loss to Archmere. Maybe their H.S. Prom was on the night preceeding the game.

Milford??? They loss to CSW, St. Andrews, Caravel and Smyrna. 4 programs that are better programs and currently better lacrosse teams than Milford. Also, TH is not very good this year, I think the above four programs all should be ranked higher. Not sure if your list is for this season.

Sallies and Archmere seem to be well above everyone else this season. HS lax playoffs outside of Sallies, Archmere and Cape, friends the first round may actually be somewhat competitive games. A lot teams that can play well at times and poorly at times. Still hoping Sallies plays in the national lax tourney.

If sals doesn’t play in Geico tournament then that would be a major fold on their part. Choosing to win another empty state championship in lieu of competing in the Gieco playoffs would be incredibly soft.

Tower Hill has been suspect, but who would you place above them?

Just say you haven’t been watching Milford… they deserve to be #3.

No way Milford is in the top 10, not even close smh 0-6 against teams with an over .500 record, maybe it was a joke and I missed something. I will say they are a young team and if they stay together 2 more years with some additions they will be a tough out for all teams not named Sals

Good to see you, 84rider. I respectfully disagree. While their current win/loss isn't great, the talent they have is undeniable. I believe it's taking longer than expected for the team to gel. Wait till the playoffs...
