Blue Hens Swimming and Diving Announces Competitive 2017-18 Schedule
NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware swimming and diving program has announced its competitive slate for the 2017-18 season, including six meets this season at Rawstrom Natatorium.
The season begins with three straight home meets against Georgetown University (Sept. 30), George Mason University (Oct. 14) and Washington College (Oct. 21).
Delaware will then hit the road for the first Colonial Athletic Association Pod meet at UNCW (Nov. 4-5) featuring the host Seahawks, William & Mary and James Madison. The Blue Hens continue road action Nov. 11 at LaSalle University.
The Hens continue the month of November at the Franklin and Marshall Invite (Nov. 17-19), before concluding the month at the USS Winter Nationals in Columbus, Ohio (Nov. 29- Dec. 2).
Other highlights include the annual December trip to Florida (Dec. 17-22) and a CAA meet with Northeastern and Drexel (Jan. 6). The Blue Hens conclude regular season action, and celebrate senior day, with a home meet against Iona and Saint Francis (Jan. 14).
The 2018 CAA Championships again will be held in Christiansburg, Va. from Feb. 14-17, while the NCAA Championships get underway with the Zone Diving Championships Mar. 4-5 at Rutgers. The NCAA Swimming Championships will run from Mar. 14-17 for the women (Columbus, Ohio) and from Mar. 21-24 for the men (Minneapolis, Minn.).
