In an effort to reach as much of an audience as possible, I'm posting the off season wrestling opportunities that has emailed out to all high school head wrestling coaches. I know there are plenty more programs out there and feel free to plug yours in the comments. This is just to give kids plenty of opportunities to find an off season program that works for you!

1. Team Delaware – It is sponsored by Delaware Wrestling Alliance and practices are hosted at Caesar Rodney on Monday (6:30-8), Milford on Tuesday (6:30-8) and Middletown on Wednesday (7-8:30). (Laurel has petitioned DWA to list Laurel High School as an official Team Delaware practice site as well, practicing on Sunday afternoons, but that won’t be decided until the next meeting) The only requirement is a USA Wrestling membership card. Great structured practices with some of the states top talent working out at the practices. Wrestlers may choose to wrestle off for spots in various upcoming tournaments around the country. Practices will include folk style, free style, and Greco-roman depending on upcoming events.

You are missing Hammers on Thursdays @ Milford HS 630-8PM. There is also a new club at Red Lion called Northern DE Wrestling Club. Not sure of the practice times but they have a page on facebook. Then there is Alpha Dogs in Newark who also have info on facebook.

Thanks for updating. Can you also comment to the age groups that are targeted with these clubs/groups? The information I posted is just what coaches has provided to me for HIGH SCHOOL wrestling. I know that options 1-4 above welcome all age levels, however. If anyone else has any clubs/groups to post, please feel free. I'm hoping we can keep this post mostly informational and factual, though. Thanks in advance.

Another great opportunity for year round wrestling in Middletown, Dover and Camden is available at Top Team Wrestling. They have two age groups: 9 years old and younger, 10 years old and older. They offer low rates and practices are held 4 nights a week and for no extra fee you can train Judo at their locations as well. Further information can be found by visiting one of the locations or visiting their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/topteamwrestling/?ref=br_rs
