As anyone who participates in sports knows, between the lines a lot is said and done. After an intense game, teams may need a minute to get thoughts together and decompress before shaking hands. I was wondering why there was such a commotion after the Harvest bowl game ,and why the teams didn’t shake hands. Both of these teams are successful and have been on both sides of the coin. Imagine how teams feel when they lose games by a large RC margin. So as I’m asking questions I hear that players and coaches were emotional after the contest so this is what lead to the separation and subsequent no handshakes. Understood. Then I’m hearing coaches were having words due to an altercation between an assistant coach on Smyrna and an opposing player. Now this is in no way to be tolerated, the situation is to be looked into and I’m hoping it’s not to be true, because we can’t teach sportsmanship but lose control as coaches .
