Hello all,

My name is Nick Graham, i'm the current President of the University of Delaware Club Wrestling team. When I entered UD as a Freshman last fall I was completely taken back by the lack of presence that our team had on campus, and even more taken back by the little effort that had been put in to change that. Upon taking on the role of President this year I've made it my goal to work towards re-establishing our program as a legitimate team rather than just a casual social club, and hopefully back into the NCAA in the years to come. We've already made huge strides this season in terms of our competition schedule, practice structure, coaching staff, and roster development; now we're looking to get the local community involved.

As a Delcastle High School graduate and former member of Team Delaware i'm proud to be affiliated with the tight-knit wrestling community in our little state, and now on behalf of our team here at UD i'm asking for the help of you all. For the first time in years our wrestling team will be hosting not one but two home events, the first one taking place on this coming Sunday (11/16). It would mean a great deal to our program if we could draw in a big crowd to these events and show the school that we mean business. Below is the information for both events.

UD vs. Rutgers / Valley Forge (tri-meet)

When: Sunday, November 16th. Doors open to spectators at 1:30PM, wrestling will begin at 2:00PM.
Where: Gym 1 of the Carpenter Sports Building (otherwise known as the little bob.)
Additional Information: Admission will be free to UD students and $3 for outside spectators, all proceeds will go towards sending our qualifiers to nationals in the spring. Free parking will be available in lot 19 (directly across the street from the Carpenter Sports Building.)

UD vs. Penn State Mont Alto / Widener (tri-meet)

When: Friday, December 5th. Doors open to spectators at 4:30PM and wrestling will begin at 5:00PM

Hey I'm a senior at St George's my name is Tony Immediato, I was wondering how many matches you guys get each season because university of Delaware is one of my top colleges next year but the only thing keeping me from going there is that I know you guys didn't have an NCAA team but if you get just as many matches as an NCAA program then that would be great because I am very interested in wrestling in college,

Tony,

Our full schedule for this season is posted on our NCWA team page: http://www.ncwa.net/teams?school=8

We've doubled the amount of events on our schedule from last season and plan to continue expanding with each year. You may also notice that we're participating in two NCAA open tournaments this season, the Franklin and Marshall F&M open and the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic at Millersville University. Next year we're planning to populate our schedule with even more NCAA tournaments and likely dual meets with division 3 teams as well.

If you have any other questions we can discuss them via email: udelwrestling@gmail.com
