Good work boys. And Wuest now knows what he needs to do to be a top 3 wrestler in the Country. The kid he wrestled wasn't a kid...rather a beast of a man. Wouldn't be surprised to see that young man on the NCAA podium next year as a freshman.
Beard was a point scoring machine throughout the tournament with 3 TF + 1MD. He put up 16 points in the first period of each of his first 2 matches and 12 in his 3rd match before he wrestled Wuest in the finals. Not sure who ended up getting OW, but he would have been a strong candidate.
Wuest had some tough matches along the way including a workmanlike 5-2 decision on a kid from Bethleham Catholic I believe who was built like a fire hydrant, short stocky and powerful. That kid fired off several good takedown attempts on Wuest, but all were thwarted with solid defense. He also managed a 1-0 decision over a kid from Mount St. Joe who opted to go neutral down 1-0 in the 3rd period, which was a true testament to Wuest's top game. Congrats on becoming a 2x place winner!
Rosser's 2 losses were to the #2 & 3 seeds who also placed in those spots. He wrestled for the 7th spot which is what he was seeded so all in all a great tournament for him as well.
