The playoff bound San Diego Seals improve their record to 13-5 on the season behind the 3 goal performance of Wesley Berg, Curtis Dickson and Kevin Jackson as they defeated the Vancouver Warriors by a 16-9 score.
Other Seals performers: 2 goals each by Austin Staats, Tim Leclaire and Danny Logan
Patrick Merrill, Head Lacrosse Coach of the San Diego Seals. "One of our more complete games of the year, it's good that we needed to respond after last weeks defeat at Saskatchewan we felt that it's important for us as they (Saskatchewan) might be in the playoff hunt."
University of Delaware alum and current San Diego Seals player Curtis Dickson on his performance: "Just a well rounded 60 minute effort which is exactly what we're looking for before heading into the playoffs, it was a good effort from the rest of the team that contributed today along with doing my job in scoring goals under my belt before we get prepared." "On the first goal for the 4-1 lead everyone knows is a game of runs they went on their business and we did ours our defense locked down knew they were a strong squad." "On the 2 goals for the 8-5 and 9-5 lead on the 3 point lead we did a set play which opened the offense up."
The Warriors in defeat were led by Keegan Bai with 4 goals in the contest followed by Ryan Martel with 3 goals.
In the nets for the Seals Christopher Origlieri recorded 37 saves in the net and for the Warriors Aden Walsh recorded 32 saves.
The Seals are the second seed team in the upcoming playoffs and will host a playoff game on Saturday, April 27, 2022 Faceoff is 7 PM.
