Tyreik had 30 for Cape. Edmonson-Westside is the defending Maryland 2A state champ. Cape erased a 14-0 deficit very quickly and held on.
 
In the final round of the Middletown Invitational Christmas Basketball Tournament 15 points by sr. Alex Kemp 10 points by jr James Palmer paced the Riders of Caesar Rodney to a 49-45 win over the host Cavaliers. For Middletown, sr Amyre Jones led with 15 points.





In the consolation round of the Middletown Invitational Christmas Basketball Tournament sr Alex Somelofske led DMA with 15 pts, sr Tyler Lewis added 13pts, and jr Brian Cameron added 10pts along with two clutch free throws to seal the win for the Seahawks of DMA as they defeated the Hornets of Tatnall by a 64-60. sr Brandon Goodge led Tatnall with 22pts and fr Nicolas Cutrona added 15 pts.





In the first round of the Garnet Valley Holiday Basketball Classic sr Tyler Burns 20 points paced the Auks of Archmere Academy to a 61-54 win over Sun Valley High School of PA.




Jamestown of New York defeated Glasgow by a 49-44 win. sr Kyle Coleman led the Dragons of Glasgow with 29 points.





Boardwalk Basketball Classic contest-11 points by sr Jeremy Torres and 10 points by teammate so Elijah Stevens paced the Redskins of Conrad to a 42-39 win over Lower Cape May in the championship round of the Jay Craven Memorial Basketball Championship that was played at Wildwood Convention Hall.





In another Boardwalk Basketball Classic Contest Consolation round of the George Betz Memorial Classic for 3rd place Cedar Creek of NJ defeated Wilmington Christian by a 62-49 score. so Austin Harris led with 12 points and 10 each by sr Shayron Jenkins and teammate sr Jacob Sipala.





At the Wicomico Civic Center in the Governors Challenge Indian River was defeated by Great Mills of MD 73-67. Sr London Tucker led the Indians with 12 points in the loss.





In another game that was played in Salisbury, MD JH Blake defeated Dickinson 58-48. jr Daryl Smith led the Rams with 13 and teammate so Kawon Spencer Taylor with 10.





Governors Challenge Seaford was defeated in overtime by Thomas Stone 77-74. sr. Avontai Bland led with 20 points followed by sr Jakeen Banks with 18.

In the Jameer Nelson Basketball Classic that was held at Widener University the Yellowjackets of Newark were defeated by Life Center Academy of NJ by a 75-40 score. Sr Jahsun Greer led the Jackets with 10 points.





Governor's Challenge Games at the Wicomico Civic Center



Laurel was defeated by Parkside MD by a 57-54 score. Sr. Kenneth Hopkins led the Bulldogs with 21 points.





City College High School of MD defeated Cape Henlopen 73-63. Sr. Tyreik Burton led the Vikings with 21, sr Jonathan Warren contributed with 17 and teammate jr David Kwan contributed with 14.





Delmar defeated North Caroline by a 63-27 score. So Kavon Trader led the Wildcats with 11 points and sr Shaquan Schoolfield contributed with 10. This game was played in Salisbury, MD





Sr. Will Yancey's 18 points paced Christiana to a 56-46 win over Cambridge South Dorchester.
