Saints Linebackers Coach Nick DiGati Signs to Play Professional Indoor Football
Jan 3 2019
Saints football linebackers coach Nick DiGati has signed a contract to play professional football with the six-time world-champion Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. Coach DiGati, a Middletown, DE native, coached Saints linebackers this past fall, after graduating from Delaware Valley University the previous spring.

Coach DiGati has been a standout player since his high school career at local Middletown High. While at Middletown, DiGati led the Cavaliers to two Division 1 state championship titles. He earned First Team All-State honors at linebacker as a junior and senior, and was also a First Team All-State offensive tackle as a senior. After his senior season, he was also named the captain of the Gold team in the annual Blue-Gold Delaware All-Star game.

After graduating from Middletown High School, DiGati moved on to Williamson College of the Trades where he continued to wreak havoc on opposing teams' offenses. While at Williamson he was a two-time captain and a First Team USCAA All-American. DiGati moved on to Delaware Valley University, a perennial powerhouse in Division III football, to finish out his collegiate career. At Delaware Valley he amassed 182 tackles in his two seasons and was named First Team All-Conference linebacker in both of his seasons there.

In his 2018 season with the Saints, DiGati mentored both junior Adrian Watts '20 and sophomore Mason McKee '21 to All-Conference honors at the linebacker position. The Indoor Football League season runs from the end of February through mid-June, and Coach DiGati will be back with the Saints for the fall 2019 season. Coach DiGati and the Rattlers are set to kickoff their season on Sunday, February 24 at the Green Bay Blizzard
