My Delaware Pre-Season Girls basketball Top 41 List for 2017- 2018

1 Zhane Snow- Must carry Concord in every aspect- plays offs will be a wish

2 Maggie Connolly- Will have to live up to the Gatorade player of the year with no Alisha Lewis

3 Lauren Park-Lane- She will have to play both ends of the floor for Sanford to compete

4 Bernyah Ward-Mayo- New team but the same issues of her having to do most of the scoring

5 Juie Kulesza- A year older and her and sister will have to get further in the play-offs

6 Lynnjay Brown- with-out help the wins won’t come, but her scoring will. She could be the best player no-one sees

7 Ronnasia Blatch-Huggins- sister is gone, she now will have to play more forward position to help rebound and score

8 Kayla Braxton-Young- can her and Ja-niah lead them deeper in the playoffs

9 Sha-nia Davis- new team. And could be part of one of the best back courts in the state

10 Kylie Kornegay-Lucas-

11 Na’leighia Wright- she will show more of a scoring threat in order for the team to make the jump to the elite 8 of the playoffs

12 Sasha Marvel - more scoring from her this year. They have the best chance of winning it with the cast around her

13 Zaria Newson- she is showing more versatility each year, but she must lead them deeper into the play offs

14 Logan Handy- scoring won't be a problem- the wins will be. She lead them to the play-offs- can she repeat?

15 Ja-niah Perkins Jackson- probably part of the best back court in the state. If they can get deeper into the playoffs

16 Stephanie Kulesza- A year older and her and sister will have to get further in the play-offs

17 Maia Bryson- with Ursuline hurting with injuries and departures. this could be her year for her team to win it

18 Olivia Tucker- must show more than shooting in order for this team to compete with just 5 players

19 Aniah Patterson- her team was a surprise her freshman year. they have more talent this year to make a run

20 Alexis Reid

21 Dania Cannon- slick guard with scorer’s mentality

22 Na'cia Jackson- can she help push this team deeper into the playoffs

23 Ambria Stratton- made a great run last year.

24 Emily Ansan- must show more than just rebounding for her team to get more wins

25 Kanisa Tucker- average freshman year for a talent like hers, must increase her scoring

26 Kayla Barnes- must improve from her freshman year for her team to compete

27 Amanda Denning- Great junior year. She is looking to improve on it

28 Senay Clark- could now be able to share the load of scoring- should make the play offs this year

29 Danijah Dixon- not lot of size. she will have to do a lot of scoring and leading in order for her team to compete

30 Nia Anderson- has to play both ends of the floor in order for this team to win

31 Janiya Stevens

32 Sam Pollich- decided to play after a long summer. she will need a big season like her freshman year

33 Kendra Warren- new team, different responsibility. solid all around game. points will be hard for her on this team

34 Kaylee Otlowski- last year for her to finally put ursuline behind her

35 Karli Couley- great cast to finally beat ursuline

36 Allie Kubek- must show more versatility than just rebounding to help sanford win games

37 Kay Wulah- coming off injury- if she is ready to play could see her versatility depending on how her summer went

38 Ondia Brown- When she is on her game- she is one the best. not consistent- this year should be a turn-around

39 Yakyra Smith-Hines- last year for her to make a run

40 Kortni Taylor- Strong guard skills- great ability to finish around the basket

41 Olivia Lynch- Incoming freshman with a big upside


Others to watch: Olivia Mason (injury), Taylor Pittman, Taelynn Brooks, Kaleigh White, Jada McCullough, Alissa Crafton, Trinity Brittingham, Jaymil Hollis, Treasure Baskerville, Kayla Rouse, Joy Watson, Amber Washington, Ayanna Holt, And Arianna Henry

NICE list! Zhane's definitely the top player coming back, I just hope she gets a chance to show her skills because she is a D-1 talent. Concord lost a lot, so clearly teams are gonna key on her. She was my favorite player that wasn't on Ursuline to watch last season.

Caravel has to be the preseason number 1 with all this talent. I honestly thought the Davis/Stanford/Morgan teams were good, but these girls might be certified dynamite.
 
With the season officially over. I wanted to take the chance to do an updated ranking of what I seen this year, leading into the playoffs- what do you guys think?
1 Bernyah Ward-Mayo- possibly given her Gatorade player of the year

2 Zhane Snow- had to carry Concord in every aspect- had a great year individually with a couple of 40 points games- but no play-offs

3 Maggie Connolly- had a solid season. And did it more by leading and scoring

4 Lauren Park-Lane- great floor general and showed more of a scoring side this year

5 Juie Kulesza- great shooting range

6 Lynnjay Brown- had a little more help than normal. They are in the play- offs

7 Kayla Braxton-Young- they have the best record in the state along with best back court – playoffs is the proving ground now

8 Olivia Tucker- did an excellent job shooting this year

9 Stephanie Kulesza- steady numbers as they move to the play offs

10 Ronnasia Blatch-Huggins- had an up and down season this year

11 Sasha Marvel – she showed she can play both ends of the floor

12 Sha’nia Davis- scoring was not a problem, but the wins didn’t come as much

13 Na’leighia Wright- had an up and down season. But her numbers was consistent

14 Ja-niah Perkins Jackson- have the best record in the state and the backcourt

15 Allie Kubek- showed great versatility in Sanfords offense

16 Kendra Warren- new team and she showed that she can be consistent in caravels style of play

17 Kayla Rouse- walking double, double

18 Zaria Newson- she showed great versatility this year

19 Logan Handy- could not match her break out year of last year of team impact- scoring was still not a problem

20 Aniah Patterson- she leading more to ready her team for the play-offs

21 Kylie Kornegay-Lucas- great athlete and ability score.
