SCRIMMAGES

A good day for scrimmages today, 60 degrees

Polytech at Lake Forest
DMA at St E's
Delcastle at Conrad
WCS at Dickinson
Red Lion at Smyrna

I don't know if Newark will have any scrimmages. I'm not aware that they've had any so far, and have only one on their schedule now, Friday 3/20, which is certain to get rained/snowed out. Another rough spring for baseball in Delaware.

Going to be some sloppy games the first couple weeks with very little outdoor practice, let alone scrimmages. Going to be cold, but looks like 3 are set for today, and another few for tomorrow.
Today you got:

Sallies at Milford
Appo at Archmere
Caravel hosting a PA team

Tomorrow:
Seaford at Woodbridge
DMA at Concord
AI at Dover
Penn at Smyrna
St E at Hodgson
M-town at Mount
Sussex Central at St Marks

Some pretty good matchups both days.

With the weather Friday, and most teams opening up next week this could be it. Hopefully the coaches are smart when the games start for real and don't over pitch these kids early.

Sals & Milford played 8 innings yesterday and tied 5-5 with each team taking advantage of opportunities from either walks, hit batsmen, or errors. Neither team really pounded the ball. Both teams put 4 or 5 guys on the mound to get some work. Sals got out of a big hole in the 6th or 7th inning with a nice double play to kill a rally.

It was Milford's second day on the field and overall a good showing.

Concord vs. DMA

Concord looked very young, they are a small team. They were decent though.
DMA looked pretty solid. Had solid pitching from the first 3 pitchers.
