Semifinals

didn't score in a quarter or was stopped from scoring in a quarter? Depends on your perspective and who you root for I guess... None the less Delaware didn't have a team that was going to beat Stanford this year not that Sanford was that great as they weren't but they were better than what DE had to offer this year

The only impressive thing about this game was the talent & poise of # 11 Hyland for St. Georges. This freshman kid is going to be a special talent once he picks up about 20 lbs of muscle. Made big shots and kept them in the game. Kept Sanford defense honest by forcing them to focus on someone other than Rawls. He got banged up @ the end but he definitely has major D1 potential if he's willing to put some time in the weight room & continue to work on his game.

What do you call that great? I mean they loss 2 games to 2 big-time programs & 1 of those losses was to the #3 ranked team in the nation which went down to the wire. They didn't have as much loaded talent as years past but as a team they were legit & held their own vs top notch competition. A lot of times good TEAMS will will trump teams w/ more individual talent & their team this year was top notch.

That was the only thing impressive about the game? Really? Dixon wasn't impressive despite being blanketed? Sanford's D wasn't impressive? Good coaching on both sides wasn't impressive? Impressive can come in different looks than just a high-scoring shootout.

That's the norm for Stan, Mikey, Sanford D & both coaches in general. But for a kid who was in middle school last year this time to perform like that on the big stage stands out above all to me & he did it vs Sanford D & kids with a lot more experience. Mostly seniors & juniors.

Sanford's 8th grader Jyare Davis is going to be a monster. Super athletic can rebound and shoot. He hit a big 3 pointer in the first Q when Sanford could not hit anything. Watched him at the Slam hit for 15 against the 3rd ranked team. Kid can jump out of a building. 6'4" or 5" would not be surprised to see him grow 4 or 5 more in the next few years.

If you check scores from the Pennsylvania state tourney and the New Jersey state tourney - both of which have a number of nationally ranked teams - you will see a surprising number of low scoring games. Doesn't mean they weren't tough, intense games.

Just saw a high scoring game in the Jersey St finals, both teams scored in the 80's.
