State Duals - Predictions

Ok here are the numbers and surely doesn't justify switching up anything! This was each qualifiers records last year. We will look again this year but I'd guess we will see similar results.

BH5 - 5-28
BH6 - 1-28
I4 - 6-28

8th grader from Conrad went as I4 last year and made second day. But I agree, it's very rare.

THAT can definitely happen... because my Freshman made it to the podium even though he was suppose to be in 8th grade last year. He was only 14, and he will start his Senior year 16. Little did we know he would become a wrestler when he started Kindergarten at 4. But hey, age is just a thing right, because now he turned 15 during the season and who knows, he may just make that podium again.

Lake beats DMA 39-36 with a 1-0 decision at heavyweight for Springer. This is a tough loss for DMA, losing to the 5th place Henlopen south team. Talk about a monkey wrench!!

Another monkey wrench may be Dover/SC. Neither Morris kid is there for SC tonight is the rumor over here.

I got

D2
1 Milford
2 IR
3 St Georges
4 Sanford
5 Laurel
6 Caravel

Everyone agree? Sanford and Laurel could flip, but I don't think it makes any difference. Lake made a run at it, but i think they fall just short. DMA collapsed at the end.

Caravel defeated Woodbidge 42-36.. I would guess that gets CA in and bumps Woodbridge out assuming CA beats Conrad, WChristian and Delmar this SAT

What would happen if somehow Central pulled the upset over Smyrna tommorow night? How does that play out for dual seedings with a 3 way tie?

Because of the close score between SC and Cape and the large margin of victory of Smyrna over Cape, SC would have to beat Smyrna by 35 points for Smyrna to lose first seed in my opinion. Don't see that happening.

Agreed youjustme. It's just like some of these individual weights where number one has a loss but the guy who beat him has losses to guys he's beaten. Can't imagine Smyrna not being the top seed.

That last spot in D2 should be Caravel. Since DMA and Caravel don't dual DMA could argue placing higher than Caravel in the only tournament they saw each other at, but while DMA placed ahead of lake at poly, the loss in a dual to Lake while Caravel beat lake probably holds more weight than a tournament finish.
Is 302 Sports going to be streaming this match?
i believe they are broadcasting. @HammersWrestling ?

My guess on state duals
Division 1:
1- Smyrna 2- Cape Henlopen 3- Sussex Central 4/5- Caesar Rodney/Dover 6- Wm Penn
Division 2:
1- Milford 2- Indian River 3- St. Georges 4- Sanford 5- Laurel 6- Caravel

If SC beats Smyrna then SC could pull a 2 seed. I think the CR-Dover match tomorrow night will be a preview of Tuesday's quarter final. I think both teams are in. Dover - CR will be a close match so Dover's margin of victory against common opponents Sussex Central, Caesar Rodney and Smyrna will be much closer then Salesianum. The win over Milford was huge for the Senators. That will give us two first round rematches. The Sussex Central - Cape Henlopen rematch in the semi final is going to be a good one.
We could very well see an all Henlopen Conference final in both divisions.

I guess Sallies will be the odd man out despite beating William Penn today by 20.

BH5 - 5-28
BH6 - 1-28
I4 - 6-28
Conversely, H6 was 13-28 with a few of those coming against I2.
