Top Team Youth Wrestling is an all year around youth wrestling academy located in Dover. This is our 9th year as an organization and we are excited to keep Delaware youth wrestling going strong. We are a private academy which means we keep very strict behavior and sportsmanship policies as well as a strict team capacity limit. Once the capacity limit is reached every season (traditional school wrestling season November-February) a waiting list is started.
We strongly believe in and focus on teaching sportsmanship, respect, discipline and coping skills first and foremost. We want to create great young men and woman first, great wrestlers second. We also strongly believe in team capacity limits. We feel once an organization gets to large, the personal attention each child needs gets lost and replaced with babysitting. At Top Team Youth Wrestling Club we have a capacity of 30 children. We know that each child learns at a different pace and needs personal attention. We do not focus on just the “good” wrestlers, we focus on them all.
Our fundamental beliefs and coaching philosophy has proven extremely successful. In the 9 years we have been a club, we have produced / played a role in over a dozen High School State and Conference Champions, District, regional and National Champions, NHSCA and FLO All-Americans as well as current Collegiate Division I, II and III wrestlers. We strongly encourage our wrestlers to learn Jiu-Jitsu and Judo as well as those combinations have proven to be a top formula for success on the mat.
