No coach worth their weight in salt would practice their kids hard the week of states because of fear of injury. Start taking responsibility and stop placing blame where it doesn't belong.

To all my haters... and there appear to be many... if you think I blame his coach you are sadly mistaken. I blame myself for keeping him at that school when he could have been choiced anywhere his Freshman year. Never wanted him at CR after Howell was gone but allowed him to decide.

Right... so in an age where everyone has access to the internet, including all of his friends- he has to go back to a tournament with hundreds of spectators today knowing the things you’ve said, wrestle for coaches that I’m sure have seen what you said. You’re his mother- he’s always going to side with you and follow your lead. Let’s instead teach our youth that these things happen in life, and it’s how we pick ourselves up that define us.
I find it funny that you wanted to leave, considering some high profile wrestlers actually transferred in to wrestle under Rigby. Actually after looking at the brackets 3 of the 4 kids they have in semis- WENT TO CR to wrestle for him and his program. Smh.

Maybe YOU are the problem. Because from where I’m sitting it seems to be working out for those other kids.. maybe try buying into your coaches program and trusting his process, again- it seems to be working out well for the rest of the team. I think that state championship banner is proof enough..
Public knowledge that I worked for CR and left for another district the year before he entered HS. There is more to wanting your kid NOT to go to a school then their Sports programs. And nobody on the team is unaware of this, lmao. It is also public knowledge that when I did not want him to go to CR we still had no named coach. My son was accepted at 3 schools prior to his Freshman year. Guess I'm a 'bad parent' as you say for letting HIM choose. SMH

The last time I checked 15-17 year olds are considered to be young men not little kids anymore. Loses must be accepted and dealt with. It won't be the last time he has to deal with adversity. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Set backs are a set up for a comeback. Good luck to your young man..

Sorry dude your wrong. Young adults need to start being accountable in high school. Face your loses and move on. Success and failure is around every corner. They have learn how to handle both properly.
your original response was to a mother who called her high school son "my child", which is y a very appropriate thing for a mother to say......i absolutely agree with you in reference to the accountability and perseverance comments.it is plausible to be a young man in the eyes of the world but to a mom it is also very plausible to be called my child...its all good, semantics
