Had some nice weather yesterday for baseball. Any one get a chance to get out and watch any scrimmages? How did some teams look?

Cape scrimmaged CR. Very loose practice based competition. CR looks young with most of the talent on the field for them appearing to be in Freshman & Sophomore classes. Not sure they have a front line ace off the arms they used yesterday, so against a Cape team that seems deep with arms, and more ready for early mound work, CR mostly struggled. CR will probably be a team that needs to overachieve to be competitive in the Henlopen North which appears to be deepest and most talented conference in State. Still if you are a CR coach there were some bright spots.
For Cape on the mound Erickson was dominant, Gelof, Johnson and White all threw well. Harmon (senior 2nd baseman) hit a HR and Cape for the most part hit up and down line up.
All in all, not much learned off this early season match up.
