Maull looking to make a statement... thats all I got lol seriously just going on a renewed fire at Cape after a long awaited changing of the guard. There is talent and numbers at that school hey if Maull gears it up and gets the boys on track and on the field then a larger D1 team should beat a small D2 school but then again Hearn could show Maull just what Delmar football in Delmar on Friday Night is all about.. None the less I like the match up out of the chute for both teams

The last time Cape and Delmar played was 2008 with Delmar winning 31-14

The only time Maull and St Georges faced off vs Delmar was in 2010 1st round play-offs at Caravel. Delmar won 22-16

I agree on the early matchup. Maull should bring some changes and in capes sake I hope it' works. It would be nice to see some more D1 teams become competitive. Every year it's the constant same 6 teams fighting for the playoffs.

I struggled with the Bwine v Laurel game. Sat morning and the BBT ( Bummy Bus Theory) If it was a 10am game I would have went with the Northern Bdawgs but it being a noon game I figure somewhere around halftime the Southern Bdawgs will get it going .. Take Laurel minus the points

Coach Hearn has to be one if not the greatest coaches go coach in DE. One of the smallest schools but has won multiple championships. I’d put him on a lot of teams and I bet they win. Not sure I could say the same about other coaches who coach at good schools.

I am going with Delmar. Not sure if JD makes any defensive adjustments during the game and Hearn will find a way.
I went to Delmar/DMA playoff game last year. Delmar was calling run blitzes early and it was not effective. The adjustment was made and DMA did not have an answer.

The other pick is St. Marks over Newark. I think the fresh new laid back coach has an effect on the players which will lead to a victory.
