It's a mystery no more. I found their school and e-mailed the coach, David Levasseur, last night. They are 22-7 (.759) against high school comp, so a 2-point team. I'm trying to figure out how to post a picture of the e-mail.

This sound unbelievably shady. What role do you play for DIAA that you have the authority to obtain teams records? Then come on this site and broadcast it all. Way too shady. We’ll see how it all plays out & the seedings will come out Friday.

Anyone can find an email address and contact the coach. Nothing shady at all.

Most of the info is easily obtained through the internet. The person who has time to figure this all out has time. I appreciate this whole formula but I PRAY that hes wrong with my daughters 2nd Round team...lol. *This is an open forum for entertainment purposes... definitely not shady*

You can't be serious... 100% DIAA been knew.. You must have too much time on your hands..

You don't have to have "DIAA authority" to contact coaches and obtain records. What world do you live in? Lololol... I write for The Cape Gazette if that helps. For Slam Dunk, I contacted 19 coaches to obtain accurate records. Is that "shady"? You can e-mail the coach if you want. Here's the link. The e-mail reply from the coach was:

"We are 22-7 against high school competition. We have played lots of non official games against older competition in Quebec (we call that CEGEP and it is more like junior college in USA)."

If you want information, you have two options: 1) twiddle your thumbs, or 2) go find it. Why should this team's record be such a mystery?

That’s funny cause I emailed the staff from the Cape Gazette after reading your post yesterday to open up dialogue and they had no idea what I was talking about. You must be a parent of one of the teams that is affected by all of this.

Here is the email you are discussing from the Canadian team. It is very misleading that they want to count games versus cegep D2-Like grade 12-13-14) but not games versus cegep D1 (grade 12-13-14)

Yes. We are 22-7 agains high school competition.

11-0 in our league (www.rseq.ca)

2-0 in non conference game

3-1 at the Fredericton high school tournament, New Brunswick, Canada

0-3 at the Diamond State classic (couple of starter out)

0-2 at the Smalling tournament in Toronto, Canada

2-1 at the SLAM tournament in Montreal, Canada

4-0 agains cegep D2 (older girl in a preparation school for the university. Like grade 12-13-14)

We have also play games agains cegep D1 (grade 12-13-14) but more like scrimmage. We have lost the majority of the scrimmage. Initially I have put this games in our records but the scrimmage are more against kind of junior college (we don’t have grade 12 in high school but we have to go at cegep for 2 or 3 years).

WOW
What's wrong with this picture? Dude must have way too much time on your hands to complain about someone else spending their time doing a little bit of research.

I am a stringer for the paper (mostly cover boys' hoops) but didn't send the e-mail for an article. I sent the e-mail because I wanted information. Figured you'd be somewhat happy that I was at least a writer since I don't have "DIAA authority." The big question for me is why is this such a big deal? I was just curious to see what the brackets might look like (would they be balanced or not?). I'm a bit concerned that you're so weirdly upset. I'll remember not to seek out info again (how dare I?) - or visit this board.

14 Lake Forest vs. 19 Ursuline - winner gets 3 Sanford
15 Charter vs. 18 Dover - winner gets 2 Cape
16 Laurel vs. 17 Sussex Central - winner gets 1 Conrad

So it's officially

9 Archmere vs. 24 Sussex Tech
10 Tatnall vs. 23 Tower
11 Poly vs. 22 St. G
12 Lake vs. 21 Appo
13 St. Mark's vs. 20 Caravel
14 Newark Charter vs. 19 Ursuline
15 Charter vs. 18 Sussex Central
16 Laurel vs. 17 Dover

I was pretty close. Got the top 8 right in order too. Now if only I knew the winning Powerball numbers...

Early predictions/thoughts -

Woodbridge can't beat Archmere.
Delmarva Christian should beware - St. Mark's or Caravel is a TRAP GAME.
Tower Hill is absolutely beating Tatnall on Wednesday.

Well Woodbridge about to beat Cape in Conference Championship.. Cape scores 4 points in 3rd..smh.. Play like they playing now.. Run into Sanford .. Cape will get beat by 30..smh

I think not having a game in two weeks didn't do them any favors. Credit to Woodbridge though, they were solid enough to win it. I still think Archmere is a match-up nightmare for them. We shall see.
